Tonight the tornado warnings hit just a little too close to home, as a rotational cloud passes by the Turner Resort... but we all know since we built the tornado shelter (i.e. "bomb shelter" to Randy), that no tornado will ever hit Panther Creek Road! :) We got three tenths of rain in about 20 mintues, but no hail and most of the high wind was short lived.Jim was on a rescue call as I watched the dark clouds building and blackening the sky to the west. No weather radio alerts sounded until after it passed us (which happens alot for us in the country) and was over Adel - where Jim was! He called from a second rescue to call to say there were lots of tree limbs down. My friend Christee lives in town and reported the same. First reports from spotters said it was a rain wrapped tornado and it could not be seen well before it hit. The tornado alarms did not sound in Adel, which is being investigated. Jim did make it home safely.
Welcome to spring weather excitement in Iowa!

Brings back memories of our summer visit last year when we spent a few nights in the Turner basement, or at least the kids and I did.... The Turner BOYS were outside in lawn chairs watching the tornadoes go by!!!! I'm glad you are safe! But here we go, huh?!
