New Year's Resolution

I've had a few questions the past few days about the blog I send out and how it all works, so I thought I’d explain a little.

My New Year’s Resolution was to keep in touch a little better this year. It’s so bewildering to me that in this day and age, with all this technology, that we still find ourselves losing touch with the ones that really matter to us. We’re all so busy with work, our families and other commitments... This past year I’ve really enjoyed reading my sister-in-law's family updates. Instead of one short visit at Christmas, a birthday party or a lunch, this enables us a few more "visits" during the year! So, I decided to give it a try too.

The blog service allows us to pick a handful of email addresses to link to. It was hard to narrow it down, but I chose family & friends that I really care about and want to hear from more often. You get the blog entry soon after it’s posted, so you don’t have to log onto the actual site each day to catch up. When you get it, it comes in email form, so you can actually reply to it just like any other email. Your reply is not posted on the blog. I hope you think, like I do, that this is a great way for us to reconnect with a few emails. You can tell me what’s up in your world and let me know that you’re OK! You can write a line or two and reply when you have the time. It might be just a quick, "hey there!" But when you do write, just know it’s really a wonderful treat for me (and Jim) to hear from you and to catch up! Kinda like the “old days” when all they had was pen and paper! But now we have pictures and videos!! :)

If you click at the bottom of the page to the link that lists the blog’s name (JTs Planes, Reins and Tractors) it will take you to the blog itself. You can go back and look at past updates you might have missed. They list them by months on a drop down menu on the right side. You can also leave a comment on the pages if you like. These will be posted for others to read, but they also get emailed back to me as an email. I can then also answer you as any other email, but those emailed correspondence will not be posted on the blog, just your original comment left from the blogsite.

Well, hope that helps a bit. :) We really look forward to hearing from you and staying a little more connected in 2009!!! Take care!
