Jim and I have had our 13 year old nephew, Dallas, visiting with us a few days. He's been quite a big help around here while we readied for my side of the family to visit for Christmas - a little late because of all the snow and ice. Made for good sledding though!

Dallas thought it was pretty neat that on the way back from the store with Uncle Jim, he got to ride along to a EMS emergency call: a rollover on old Hwy 6. No one was seriously hurt, thank goodness, and Dallas had to stay in the car and watch, but he still thought it was "way cool" to see his Uncle Jim in action!

Guys hard at work here... doing what Jim loves best "assembly required"!

Dallas has really grown up a lot in the past year. So polite and helpful. He's also very proud to say he's as tall as his Aunt Julie now!

Jim and Dallas spend a few hours clearing snow too while he was here. With 12 inches on the ground, we've not had as much snow as some have in parts of the state, and the wind just keeping blowing it back into the parts that get plowed everyday... like our lane!

Under Uncle Jim's guidance, Dallas even got the chance to drive the tractor and try his hand at blading the lane to the old white barn. In his words, " I need a little more practice!"
Thumbs up after a job well done!

Then it was time to have some fun!! SLEDDING--WHOOOO-HOOOO!
Even Aunt Julie gets in on the excitement! CJ wasn't too keen on sledding down the hill - he'd rather follow along behind and bark!
And then there's the lonnnnnnng climb back up. We all had a great time and we look forward to his next visit!
