It's been all over the news for days, but until you've been through a flood inching at your back door, it's hard to understand. I talked to my Aunt Alice (Dad's sister)yesterday morning. She lives in Fargo, as do most all of her kids and grandkids. One cousin, Chad, lives in Moorhead, which was one of the first mandatory evacuation areas. Aunt Alice says the rest of them are just praying they are on high enough ground, but have suitcases packed. At 4 pm Saturday, they reported the river was receeding, but it continues to snow and they warn this situation is far from over, the threat lasting for 3-7 more days. Freezing temps and windchills are making sandbagging more difficult. If it gets warmer, the snow and ice melt and the threat increases again. What a mess! Thank you for your prayers for all these folks.

My Aunt Alice's house is just a few blocks from the Red River. She's lived there over 50 years and never seen anything like what's happening.
And this is a really good YouTube Video.
