We've had a couple of incredibly warm spring days here lately, so friend and Farmer Extrordinaire, Steve Cochran, decided it was time to replant the hay field. Thursday he came out and tilled up what was left of the bean field, which wasn't much after the deer, turkey and pheasants spent all winter eating from the Turner Bean Field Buffet...

Friday, Jim and Steve mixed the different grass seeds needed for the new hay field and put them in the John Deere planter.
And then Jim lost his wedding ring mixing seed!! They dug around in the planter for an hour! APRIL FOOL! (Nice shot though, huh?!)

Taking some time to eat a ham sandwich in the warm sun.

And then Steve and his big John Deere tractor planted the front field back into hay...
But all that wonderful warm weather came to an abrupt end today! Now we wait for the blizzard (yep, in April!) that's expected to hit tonight into Sunday to soak the seed into the ground. Hopefully we'll only get a couple of inches!

Alright you got me! I was laughing out load about the bum shots, and then immediately went to a gasp when I read about the wedding ring....and then relief! But you did get me!
