Brushy Creek Trail Ride

This was another great weekend for us to build up Charmer and Brandy's muscles in anticipation for our annual trek to the Black Hills of South Dakota's Custer State Park. We couldn't have asked for better weather and Mother Nature actually cooperated by drying up for a few days so the rangers could open up some of the parks' closed trails for us too!
The park is about an hour and half drive from us. It's a beautiful hilly park with lots of water crossings. Here is Jim and Brandy crossing a clear stream.

Here we stopped to take a break by an old pioneer cemetery along the way.

And here we are after our three and half hour ride, getting ready to load back up into the trailer. We had a wonderful day!

Some day... when I'm not pregnant, or have little ones on my hip (If Nick will ever let that happen) I would love to go riding with you!!! How fun!
