Fall Rainy Days...

For we country folk, rainy days usually mean a day to work indoors... so Nicholas and Jim decided it would be a perfect day to get Nick's truck ready for the long trip to Virginia. Jim took the day off and Nick brought his truck to our garage. I, however, thought it would be a great day to go into town and have lunch with my dear friend, Mary Lou, whom I don't get to see nearly often enough. So I made the boys some lunch and headed into town. This is how things looked when I left...

Mary Lou and I had lunch at Olive Garden and enjoyed some salad and warm soup and breadsticks while we browsed through her spectacular photos of her vacation to Yellowstone. I've never been there, so I oooed and ahhed at her great shots of wildlife and scenery. Here is one that I think she should frame. Don't ya just wanna jump in a car and head out West?!

Of course lunch just flew by and I was left wishing the lunch 'hour' were more like two or three! It was so great to see you, Mary Lou! Let's do it again sooner than later this time!

When I got home I found the boys knee deep in greese, oil and power tools!

Hmmm, hope they know how it all goes back together!

(Insert "Tool Time" theme music)
-Take a look at the big stain on Nick's shirt. I asked him if he'd been working so hard he was sweating blood... "Nah, just spilled a little transmition fluid! OOPS!"

Finished making thier final checks on fluids, they broke out the cigars Jim had been saving to celebrate Nick's return from War and his new baby boy.

Ahhhh, another check on the mighty "TO DO" list! A fine day's work done and they both thoroughly enjoyed being able to spend some quality brotherly time together.

Here's lookin' at you kid!
