Lost Doggie Found Aug '08

I go out to check the horses every day around noon to make sure they're muzzles are on. On this hot day I found a small Welsh Corgie dog by the tack room door. He had obviously crawled through the barn gate to get out of the heat. He was very friendly, but no collar. He wouldn't stay in the barn, but wanted to follow me out to the pasture, so I put him in the tack room with a bowl of water and food and a pillow.

When I returned the water and food were gone and he was sleeping on the pillow. Poor guy. So I went to work on the phone trying to find his owners. I called all our neighbors, the paper and then the vet, who had just gotten a fax from the local shelter mentioning a lost Corgie. Long story short, this little guy had been lost three days and had walked all the way from ADEL (5 miles) to our house looking for home. Later that day his thankful owner picked him up. YEH!!
