4th of July at Turner Mtn.

We hope everyone had a spectacular 4th of July! The day started out really rainy and chilly, which is really odd for the 4th of July in Iowa. But the weather didn't stop us from enjoying family and friends!
Jim fires up the grill as he talks with Tim and Julie.

While we waited for the hamburgers and chicken, we admired Larry and Judy's garden. It's always filled with such goodies that they later freeze or can to enjoy in the cold months of winter: corn, tomatoes, peas, beans, strawberries, and potatoes. Hmmmmm, hmmmm!

Then it was time to dig in! Judy always makes a mouth-watering feast of food! (note Jim's Mikey pose! :) Dessert was none-other than Judy's homemade cake brownies and ice-cream, not that we had ANY room after dinner!

Here we are saying "HI" to Nick as I snapped a picture to let him know we were thinking of him and all the other soldiers protecting our freedoms! (going round the table left to right: Jim, Judy, Larry, Marge (Tim's Julie's Mom), Marla (Jim's Aunt), Doug (Jim's Uncle- hidden), Julie (Tim's wife) and Tim. (and yes, it does get a might confusing having two Julie Turners in one family :)

Tim (Jim's older brother) and his wife Julie bought a brand new 5th wheel trailer. Tim is on the road a lot for work and this will be his home away from home. It's super nice with all the comforts of home! They hope to get some camping time in too this summer.

Thanks for the fireworks, Tim! And thanks for the wonderful fun and food Larry and Judy!! We had a great time!

Great pics! Thanks for sharing them! We missed you all over the weekend! Just a few more months and we'll have to have a big hoopla at Turner Mountain when we are passing through!
