Nick 6+ Months Update

It's been a really long 6+ months for Nick and the Turner family. We're sure he'll have many stories to share when he returns! For the safety of his unit, we're told not to print detailed info, but it won't be too much longer before Kim and the kids will be giving him a great big hug and kisses. (give me a call if you'd like a more definite time-line).

If you'd like to send Nick "WELCOME HOME" card, banner, or letter, you can send them to Kim at:

Kimberly Turner
45-347 Lehuuila Street
Kaneohe, HI 96744

Nick's unit's "advanced party" made it home last week. Kim was there to welcome them home. Here are some of the banners for those wonderful soldiers.

Jim and I thought it would be fun to put something together so I asked expert banner maker, Kim, to send us some helpful hints: Most people use sheets, half a sheet, pillow cases, etc... and whatever kind of paint. You can write a welcome home message, or make a picture, say anything, funny or whatever. You can see a couple picks from the advanced party post of some of the signs that were hanging to get an idea of what people say. You can say anything as long as it isn't offensive or inappropriate (says our FROMAN!)It can be messy, though!
Just have fun with it, and you can say whatever you would like on it! We hope to have banner galore at the hangar when they come home! Banners hanging ALL OVER, so it would be so awesome if you made one! (If you paint, just be sure to put some plastic under the sheet so you don't leak through and have "welcome home nick" (or whatever) forever on your garage floor! Ha ha

I am very grateful for her advice... otherwise I would have memories of this homecoming on our barn floor for years to come! HA! If you'd like to make one, this week would probably be a great time to do it get it sent out! He'll just love it!!

You can also send email to Kim and she could print something out for Nick too if that's easier. Her email is: kimturner@hawaii.rr.com

Making this homecoming extra special... Kim and Nick's forth baby is expected any day. Kim is hoping Nick will be able to join her in the delivery room via modern technology (computer or phone). We all hope that works out for them! Kim's Mom and her Mom's best friend flew in from Iowa to help her and the kids out, so that's really special. We're all sending our love, Kim & Nick!
