Happy B-Day Phyllis Dec 08

This December my mother, Phyllis, will be 65 years young. She's in great health and always has a bright attitude, just like her mother did. So this year we planned a special surprise for her birthday too... Oh, she knew we were going out to a dinner theater and there would be a show... she just didn't know WHO would be performing!
We enjoying a fabulous prime rib dinner with many sides for our veggie lover guests.
And then a we had the mouth watering carrot cake (Mother's favorite) made by my good friend Gloria, who makes our area's most scrumptious cakes and desserts at
Glorious Desserts.

Elvis begins his birthday song to Mom by stepping up on the table... we all held our breath hoping the table wouldn't tip over!!
He serenades her and she just loved it! He was a little shorter than Elvis, but he had his mannerisms down to a T! Elvis was my Mother's all time favorite singer. I remember her playing his records all the time while I grew up. And when he died in 1977, I'll never forget how devastated she was. It was like most of us remembering JFK's death, just something you'll never forget.
Even Deb's son, Levi got a scarf. He got up and shouted, "Hey my name is Levi!" And Elvis asked him to come up and talk to him. Elvis asked him what he wanted for Christmas and Levi said without missing a beat, " I want one of your jumpsuits!" That got a huge laugh!!
