17th Wedding Anniversary

We both think it's incredible that 17 years have flown by since that cold day, December 27, 1991, when we said "I do". And what a fun-filled 17 years it's been! Without getting too sappy, we're happier than ever and feel so blessed to have found each other.

The Turner Christmas was pushed back a day, so we decided to celebrate our anniversary a day early. We made reservations for dinner at one of our favorite restaurants, the Hotel Patee in Perry and then a movie, Marley and Me. Dinner was fabulous and the movie was even better. For dog lovers this is a must see, but everyone will enjoy it! (bring your Kleenex).

The day had been unusually warm - in the 50's in fact, which had our snow melting pretty fast. And then the fog set in, which was very ironic, as we had the same kind of fog on our wedding night! Jim always gives me "traditional" anniversary gifts, and this year, according to Hallmark, the 17th is furniture. So he had our good friend Eric Koehne make these beautiful cedar patio chairs. Can't wait to use them on our porch to watch the hummers and the deer when the weather warms up!
