While Jim worked on catching up on our feeder orders on Sunday, I packed up my cleaning supplies and headed back to Champions to help with the last few things before they would come home. The Champions are old friends of ours with two of their three children suffering from a life-threatening illness, as I mentioned on the previous blog. This project was a gift from a non-profit organization called Dream Space. Dream Space started this last week and on Thursday, sent the Champion family to a motel equipped with gift cards to area restaurants, so they wouldn't know all the surprises that were planned. They only thought Alex, the youngest that also is being treated for cancer, would be getting a new room... but ALL the girls got new rooms, AND new kitchen cabinets, laundry room and hard wood floors!!!
On Sunday after church, Dream Space arranged for a limo to pick them up and take them all to have a beauty makeover at a salon. Hair cuts, perms, whatever they wanted. Sure Greg had a ball :) This is Alex's new room!

This is the new laundry room:
A new bedroom decorated for Alex's sister, Dani. I didn't get pictures yet of Paige's new room because they were still working on last minute things while we waited for them to arrive. But it was really cool too!

Then, as we all scurried around cleaning and polishing the last few details at the house. Someone even donated a tree and all the volunteers decorated it with ornaments they all brought and signed for the Champions to remember all the dear folks that helped make their DREAM come true!

They arrived with a crowd of people to reveal their new home, just like on TV!!!
